Exploring Emotion:
A friend’s boyfriend came to my house for the first time and saw all my
paintings. “You paint?” He said, “I didn’t know you painted?”
“Ya. I’m an artist with a day job.”
“An artist?” he laughed. “Ya, I’m a scientist with a day job.”
I ate a meal with him and listened and went through a full range of emotions
when I decided to stop at flattery. His annoyance meant that I had a profession that really was exclusive and elevated.
This exhibition is the exploration of emotion. The pieces are illustrative of
the emotions one goes through when faced with conflict.

Selected Works from A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix:
Two images from A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix which was exhibited in Oakville, Ontario are now on exhibit at de Mello Palheta Specialty Coffee and Roastery in Toronto. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sale of these works will be donated to Mid-Toronto Community Services, an organization that supports and advocates for the elderly in central Toronto.
Simone paints live each year at Mid-Toronto’s annual Cocktails for the Community. It is her honour to provide a portion of the sales of her work to an organization who has done great things including rescuing a senior from an abusive care provider despite the fact that he suffered from Stockholm syndrome.
